Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Michael Poncé is a draughtsman, painter and sculptor.
He studied at Foothill College near San Francisco and graduated with an M.F.A. in
painting from the New York Academy of Art. Poncé did graduate research in anatomy
at Oxford University and studied old master drawings at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, England.
He also has a background in fashion illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology
in New York where he received his B.F.A. Poncé’s work has appeared in several publications,
including American Artist Magazine, En Plein Air Magazine, Equine Vision Magazine
and Polo: Players’ Edition. He is an exhibiting member of the National Arts Club, and his
work has been included in many group and solo exhibitions.
